I'm a software engineer. I build production applications, full-stack SaaS platforms and software products, and I work on the parts that are hard to get right — usually ending up owning them end to end.

My background spans mobile applications, full-stack web and SaaS products, backend services, connected devices, and SDKs. I particularly enjoy problems that sit between product engineering and system design.

On the risk-analytics platform I led the frontend and BFF side for six years — around three engineers day to day, and people from other teams whenever a change crossed into the web application. I set how features were built there, reviewed that code, onboarded the engineers who joined, and screened candidates on every hire. On the connected-device SDK I set the API design direction that the Android team's vocabulary was agreed against. Most of what that came down to in practice was making the real size of a piece of work explicit before anyone committed to it.

The work shown here covers 2017 onwards. Before that, a decade across agencies and product teams, mostly web and mobile.

I've worked remotely for over a decade, mostly with US-based companies while living in Europe. Async by default.
